My dear friends,

It is hard to believe, but it is true: this weekend it is only one month until we shall sit under the Christmas tree and ask ourselves if we have been good this year. I can only answer that with a definite « Well... ». :-)

I am proud to write you this first Christmas card of the season and not without reason: this Christmas I will not have much time for pleasure. My thesis demands to be written and the deadline is in January. But rest assured that I am thinking of you all and I hope, you too think of me a little.

This year has been quite eventful. For once there is my thesis which marks the end of my studies I had gotten used to, and not to forget my debut as a newsreader at Radio Lotte, a local station in Weimar. I find all that very exciting, even though my little nerves are well under tension.

Also my private life went on in waves that carried me up with happiness, to then leave me drowning in my pain.
Some of you might have seen the film « Come undone »: First I just thought it was a nice film, but then I was quite touched by it, also because I had to realise that in life sometimes things do not come undone easily.

With optimism I look forward to Christmas and into the next year when I shall become godfather (-mother ?) and which maybe will take me to Leipzig.

I wish you a good Christmas time with lots of mulled wine to warm the heart.
